7 supers in last 10 years
I am lazy. Anyone else curious enough to see if anyone else in SEC or nation has done better?
-
Nation leading 5 in a row.
-
5 Supers with 4 different coaches is a pretty impressive feat tbh. Honestly amazing the continuity that we've had. Rowdey, TA, and Hatch have never known a season that didn't end in Omaha.

I was bored at work and took a look.
Over the last 10 NCAA Super Regionals (2011-2021; 2020 omitted due to COVID):
Vandy - 8
Mississippi State, Florida State - 7
Florida, LSU, Louisville - 6
Oregon State, South Car., TCU, Texas Tech - 5
We're in good company.
LSU going for #7 tonight vs Oregon who's going for #2.
Arkansas is going for #5 later
Ole Miss is going for #3 currently.
Stanford going for #5 vs UC Irvine looking for #3.
Old Dominion looking for #1 vs. Virginia who would get #5 with a win.

Don’t tell some of our fans. They are still disappointed with today’s win
-
Pretty impressive. It's become an expectation instead of a hope.

It's a shame the NCAA allows you bluebloods to be so dominant...*

That is elite company for sure. Wild us and FSU only ones without a NC. Just ain't right.

That’s a great comeback. We got some sports-oriented communists at MSU that want a football leveling, but MSU is quite exceptional in baseball.
Envy is a deadly sin for reason, thanks for the reminder Tusk

FSU 0-23 in CWS for titles
Clemson 0-11
MSU 0-11
North Carolina 0-11
Arkansas 0-10
These programs have had some deserving teams. Just never could make the stars align. Then you have Fresno State, Costal Carolina, Oklahoma, and Rice with modern titles on very few appearances

Pretty sure, except for Fresno, those other 3 won it with their very best team ever.
I guarantee you, if THIS State team wins a NC, it will not even be close to our best team ever, probs KT not even in the Top 7-8. BUT.... if this State team were to win it, it would be our most resilient team ever!

I know State is the only team that has been to the last 5 Super Regionals, but I started this morning to see if any other team besides State has gone to 5 straight Super Regionals in a row since the Supers started in 1999.
It has been slow going finding and writing down the Super participants while working, so if anyone already has them down, please look that up.

In the past ten years Bama has been to one Super Regional but have won six Nattys in football during that time span. During that same time span we have been to 7 Super Regionals but no Natty in football. I would swap any day of the week.
