    College Softball

It's the best on-field product under the NCAA umbrella. Every regional game yesterday (Except Zona/AR) was a battle to the end. Extra innings, triple play, HRs, small ball, great pitching. It's fast-paced perfection!

    It's a joke of a sport, let's be honest.

Well coming from you, that tells me all I need to know how good it is. And honestly all the things you complain about in baseball, especially college and pros, you really should love what a high level softball game is about. It has everything from small ball to HR to balls in play to good pitching and faster play. If you would give it an honest try, you will find a lot of elements you miss from old baseball games being played out in softball. And they are having the Oklahoma vs Washington super regional game on ABC today. Their ratings are good because people are finding themselves liking a lot of what they do on the field.

ETA: Full disclosure, my daughter took up the sport and that really got me involved and learning to love the sport. And how similar things are to baseball just in a compressed field of play. A high level baseball swing is also the same in softball, don?t let any tell you it?s a different swing, they are wrong this is not the 80?s. (Slapping is different but is similar to a drag bunt with a swing element). Learning that what works for a pitcher in baseball, setting up hitters, also works in softball, my daughter and I learned to add more of that to her pitching and made her a lot more effective but I think that is still something getting worked through in college play.

I started watching fast pitch softball a few years ago, and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I watched the FSU-LSU game last night, and it was a great game. I have to agree that fast pitch softball is one of the better sports under the NCAA umbrella. I actually introduced it to my dad, and he ended up liking it too. The product is absolutely superior to what baseball is currently offering. And I still love baseball as well.

OK has more HRs as a team than K's. Think about that.

There was a D-1 college game this year where a pitcher threw a perfect game and K'd every batter. Joke.

    It's a 7 inning game vs a SWAC team. #tickturd

That is the first time that has ever happened in history of D1 softball. North TX did it vs Ark Pine-Bluff who finished the year like 2-29. Please let a softball pitcher throw to you and we will video it so everyone will know who is the joke.

Years ago I got into watching college softball after seeing a pitcher for Arizona named Taryne Mowatt. The view from the center field camera was nice. She's the pitching coach for Arizona now. Also Jenny Finch was easy on the eyes.

    https://www.ncaa.com/news/baseball/a...ever-be-broken

26 ks in a 27 inning game. if 21/21 makes the whole sport of softball a "joke", then 26/27 certainly makes baseball one too you hypocritical sexist dumbass

Or hell, lets recall the 3-2 Auburn football game. Does that shitshow make the entire sport of football a "joke"? Why not? Oh yeah, because you're not grasping for straws to justify not liking that sport

She was the pitching coach at OM before going to AZ. Her girlfriend was a firefighter in Oxford...sorry.

Oh well, it was still a nice view. How appropriate with her being a pitcher she would marry a catcher.

I watched one time. The score was 1-0 and 85% of the hitters started to run before they even "swung" just trying to poke it at 3B and beat a throw. Joke.
