Lol, some of you are naive. This team is not nearly as good as some here wanted to portray. It wasn't a great team at any point nor will it be. We were damn lucky early in the year and pulled a lotta games outta our ass. There are just way too many holes in the lineup and inconsistencies to be championship caliber and that's just the plain, honest truth. Oh wait, we have "elite" pitching, right? That's a fallacy too. We have one elite pitcher. Mediocre starting pitching, shitty defense and an offense that lacks power and cannot hit up and down the lineup is not a recipe for championships or to make it to Omaha.

It's the eye test right? My eyes tell me exactly what you just wrote. We are just way too inconsistent. Only TA and Sims comes to mind when looking for consistency. That's far from championship level. We just have to hope the team gets hot for a postseason run.

That is just it, every team has some inconsistency. It takes getting hot at right time, luck and momentum. Best team don't always win NC in a long format tourney. History is full of it.
