According to game notes, starter for Mizzu hasn?t started a game all year. ERA right at 5.00. Thrown 20 total innings. Maybe they are trying to shake things up.

Yeah but Brad is hitting RHP better than Skinner. He’s hitting both handed pitchers better than Skinner

Agreed. I want Cumbest getting as many ABs as possible.

    Some of that is luck.

Cumbest Babip is .435 and skinner is .278. Skinner has a better bb and k rate.

I'm fine with a platoon the next 6 sec games to see how it works

It’s not that close really though when you adjust it out. BABIP is a tricky stat in college by itself because it’s not just all about luck. BC’s is high and he should regress but it takes a lot of balls in play to get an accurate level for a player. At least 2-3 full seasons because we don’t have near enough games like MLB. They want at least 800 balls in play in the MLB to get an accurate picture of a hitter. The hotter bat, no matter if the BABIP is inflated, needs to stay in lineup and get more AB’s in a shorter season.

I think it's still useful. Mangum's BAbip was ,449 his freshman year, and I said he'd never approach that again. He didn't... .382 was his best the next 3 years (senior). Babip > .400 isn't all luck, but it does require a lot

Feel like Forsythe has bobbled a good bit of grounders this season

Sigh, two errors in the first inning. This series is going to be tougher than what we're expecting I'm afraid.

The first two outs required 3 pitches. It took 24 pitches to get the third out.
