DJ Stewart not returning next season
According to Paul Jones, he's signed with an agent and is not returning.
This sucks.

Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark. The weather in Greece is great.......So much for Howland being excited about this team......I know we have some good folks on board but this one is gonna hurt a little.......

Getting cold in Belarus and Rockets are falling in Israel. DJ you needed more time to develop/

GD we never catch a break....
-
Made the announcement early, so hopefully time to replace him
-
This team has 4 legit starters. Just need to find a good facilitator.
-
He probably got good feedback from scouts, it's the same reason Woodard stayed in last year and ended up signing a 3 million dollar guaranteed deal so if so, I can't blame him.
It's a big hit but we still have Molinar, Jeffries, Brooks and Tolu... thats still one heck of a team. Howland needs to bring in another grad transfer or two now.
-
The kid with the afro will take his minutes. Can't recall his name, but he came on strong at the end of the season last year. Should be a good #2 to Molinor.
-
The bright spot is that we have a better shot now with some of these transfer guards now that we have a starting position open. It was going to be a tough sell to convince a guy to transfer here to come off the bench, even if they had good minutes
-
Best of luck to DJ and glad he announced now and didn?t wait longer so we can find a replacement

Mistake, but it's his call. He's not getting drafted. Could've come back and improved his game. He'll be overseas. Maybe he can get a team and the D League.

This. 100%

Not a good decision on his part IMO. His ball handling isn't NBA level, but hey his decision so he's got to live with it.

Supposedly he was told he will not be drafted and should go back to school, but signed with an agent anyway.

Man, I find it hard to believe that he would have agreed to redshirt and then gotten impatient enough to leave if he hasn't gotten a good guarantee that he will not just be drafted but offered a decent contract. Hope for his sake this isn't true and that he got a guarantee similar to Woodard, that he'll be drafted and offered a multiyear contract.

Dumb, but 21 yr olds usually are...
Come on down Shakeel Moore and/or Rocket Watts.

The silver lining is that this makes it much easier for us to sign and start a true point guard. We weren't going to convince an impactful transfer to come in and sit on the bench while DJ started at the point this year.
