Lots of guys stepped up by my game ball goes to Rowdey Jordan

He not only was on fire from the plate 4/5 and HR but the maybe the biggest play of the night was his first at bat with the hit. He sent a message as the leader of this team that Saturday wasn't happening again. He came out and pounded some shark.

    Hail State!!!

That game could be the one that sends us on a roll. Huge win! Dubrule, Rowdy, Allen all were big.

I agree. TA's hit was huge but 4/5 from your lead off is getting it done. He's over .300 now. Sure wish we had more in our line up stroking it like him now. Think we only have 4 starters over .300 with Rowdy barely over and James(bad day today) at .300. OM's first six is .319 or better with 7 and & hole over .270. We beat a good team this weekend. If they had a bullpen, they could make noise in Omaha. We get a couple more bats going and we could too.

Agree. You gotta have good pitching and bull pen to make a deep run and we got that. Just get a couple more hitters and we are in business.

I don't have the stats in front of me, but it seems like Dubrule has been having a lot better ab's the last few games. Would be huge if he could hit .300 plus from here on

Does anyone have an MSU comp for Tanner Allen? I've been an MSU fan for 15 years since I started school back in 2006. I'm trying to think of a guy in that time that has TA's speed along with his gap to gap ability and contact making.

He will never overwhelm you with power. But he's got that clutch gene, he can hit gap to gap, can hit oppo for power just as good or better than pull, and has that speed component.

Closest I can come is maybe Mitch Moreland but Moorhead wasn't as speedy. Had a better arm than Tanner too. I've just been thinking about that the last couple weeks and was interested in thoughts. He's been a unique player during his time in Starkville.

This team is scrappy and has a ton of heart. After getting thumped yesterday they responded like a championship type team should and thumped back.

Maybe Brooks Bryan? Allen has more power though.
