Yeah Brandon has really struggled lately. Breaking ball and change up have been hanging and fb command has been off. Hopefully just a little rough patch. Cade Smith and Tepper are nasty.

I’m hopeful
Rowdy has woken up
Allen is the same guy he’s always been
James is an All-Star that is growing up
Hancock is solid
Tanner is decent but he is a plus defender. Just need him to remain steady
Skinner will get better
Forsythe is a rookie and will be up and down
It comes down to what we get out of Hatcher, Leggett, Debrule, Cumbest as to what we end up accomplishing

Good assessment. If we can just scratch out 3-4 runs a game I like our chances in most games(of course more offense would be better).

I don't think our success or failure will be determined by the 8-9 spots in the batting order. What we end up accomplishing in June will be determined by Christian McLeod, Will Bednar, and our bullpen.

The good news is we have to be averaging at least that in SEC play without looking it up. It seems like when we lose it's like 9-5 and we commit 3-4 errors in the field.
It doesn't seem like we hit as well as we do because we don't have a ton of power but we're finding ways to score runs somehow.

The Forsythe and Skinner moves show we are focused on being a pitching and defense first team. Our lineup is so split right now production-wise but if we can go for big innings when 1-5 are up, and get one run with steals, bunts, hit and runs the innings 6-9 are up it probably gives us the best chance to win.

Tend to agree. We can't dig a big hole in any game. With our bullpen depth, we the leash has to be short on anyone who gets in trouble. We just don't have the firepower hitting, but we are warming a bit.
Another thought is I think our pitching can be so dominant that it affects the other team even on D. Other teams seem to make a lot of errors against us helping us score.

We are averaging 4.6 runs per game in conference play so far. So we are well in that needed range.

We pick up the sweep today and we will have completely balanced out getting swept by Arkansas by sweeping Kentucky and Auburn.
Win today and we are tied for 2nd in the west with the OM/Arky loser - sets up one helluva series on SBW with Ole Miss.
