K/BB rates are very normal if you drop Forsythe.

It's past time to shake up the lineup.
Let Hancock, Allen, James, and Tanner be top 4.
Drop Rowdey down, Cumbest needs to be starting in lf.

Is Forsythe our only option at ss?

I think Leggett could probably play SS, but Forsythe is a level up defensively. We're just going to have to swallow our lumps with him. It'll be worth it in a year or two I hope.

We knew when we started playing him that we were trading offense for better defense.

Yeah- got to take the lumps with Forsythe. He will be good in time- but short term he will struggle at the plate.

Does Forsythe even have a baseball IQ? Somehow he got on base and was on 1st with 2 outs. Then someone smoked a liner to center and he checked up on it instead of being off at the bat and being on 3rd. Next batter hit a infield hit chopper and he moved to 3rd. If he had ran the bases correctly he would have scored. It would have been 1-0 us. He just looked like the moment was too big all game.

Strikeouts are no where close to our problem. Tied with Vandy with the lowest in the league in SEC games. It?s weak contact that?s the problem. Period. We are below average in walks which makes us below average in OBP and we lead the league in GDP. Weak contact from hitting bad pitches or flat out missing a pitch we have to consistently drive better.

No doubt he is very good at ss - we've got to find some offense somewhere. One thing is for sure, got to get Dubrule and Rowdey out of the 1/2 hole.

Remember when Kam James played there? So yeah. He's our only option.

No doubt. I cringed when I saw the lineup when it came out. At least we know Skinner will be leading off when he gets back. TA or Hancock need to be 2/3 in some order. James or Tanner after that.

Agree. We swing at the 1st pitch way too much. We are in the bottom of the SEC in BB's. We lead the SEC in weak contact. We need to work counts more

Yes. They knew he would have a hard time hitting

We do, which is also keeping the opposing starter in the game longer by keeping their pitch count down.

Yeah we have to leave Forsythe alone, he's a plus defender at a defensive position. If he can just hit .250 the glove is worth it. He does need to cutdown on the k's though.

We offer at a bunch of offspeed crap down. That's where most of your weak ground balls are coming from.

I've watched Legget play since little league (he's my cousin) ... he could play shortstop
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.
