    Women's Basketball Recruiting

    4 players have announced for the transfer portal. Also, Coach McCray-Penson mentioned 8 players comitted. That's 12 players. (Note) 12 players listed on the current roster, including midterm enrollee Knisha Godfrey according to the official site. This, excluding Temple transfer Ashley Jones, whom hasn't been shown added. Ashley is currently expected eligible to play at some point next season. (Additional Note) No starters have announced transferring....Taylor, Matharu, Jackson, Carter, Hayes were the main 5 starters going down the stretch of the season.

    Current 2021 high school signees (not arrived, enrolled)
    - Jasmine Shavers, 5-10 shooting guard
    - Denae Carter, 5-11, 6-0 wing/2 guard
    - Mia Moore, 5-7 point guard

    Miss. State has no true center on the remaining roster. Also, Jessika Carter, currently more of a finesse power forward, will be a senior next season. Look for post players (power forwards, centers) to be a high priority regarding transfers, transfer portal, and high school recruiting moving forward, Staff...continued recruitment of other positions as well.
