    In McGowan’s defense, he hit the ball pretty well. It just happened to be right at the 2B.

    Lost the game, but this was high end stuff.

    We learned about ourselves and players more than beating Wright State at home.

    Lovette, B Smith, Harding, and Dubrule are marquee players

    We gave away the runs. Error in the first was key. That was a run without a hit.

    In this specific case, it would have been less bad for Pimentel or Cumbest to strike out looking.

    I’ve seen enough through two games to think we can be very good, tomorrow’s result won’t change that for me. I think Tech is the best team of the three we play this weekend so a loss wouldn’t really bother me and a win would be awesome. Just didn’t want to go out there and lay a goose egg, and we’ve already avoided that.

    As expected, pitching will carry this team and our ceiling will depend on clutch hitting. Had it yesterday, not today. I think most of us have followed college baseball long enough to know that it’s a marathon and not a sprint regardless of how well or how poorly you start, so let’s all buckle in for the long haul.

    Indeed. Yet, while they're legit...legit "reg season" and "post season" are two separate things...and that being said, Ole Miss At Home Again is the statistical norm, so I don't really expect anything different...

    OM is so weak in tradition, they might put up an Arlington Classic banner

    This is a marathon and today we saw that we can be tough to beat, even with our midweek starter.

    Polk also said that the Ump was very challenging on Harding. No favors for Harding.

    We also saw that Lovette could be the long or 8th inning bomber, a second Landon Sims.

    It was also good to see Brandon Smith come back at a high level.
