It is a surprise to see McGowan starting relative the fan expectations, but coaches have been saying that nobody has locked anything in left. Good for McGowan! Looks like he fought for the position and has it for now.

Some pressing, jitters, nervousness, anticipation wouldn't surprise me from all 6 teams. These guys are all competitors, and they haven't played any big pressure games in 2 years. Remember that the SEC schedule, and postseason play was cancelled last year. We only got in the early games when the stress level isn't as high. So using McLeod as an example, he has pitched, but not in big games.
