Surprising! He doesn't look a day under 75. Guy's lucky to have lived this long, honestly.

Plastic surgery has helped (i suppose, lol)...tho he hasn't devolved physically like Mickey Rourke, so I guess he's doing ok.

More overrated lead singer Axl Rose or Vince Neil?

    Vince, for sure.

Plus, GNR is just a better band talent wise.

I could argue that either way but it all comes down to personal preference. I've seen them both multiple times "live" and I prefer Crue. Going to see them again in May (assuming no cancellation) in Nashville along with Def Leppard, Poison (meh), and Joan Jett.

I saw the Crue in Southaven a few years. Vinces vocals were gone then but still a kick ass show.

There was nothing like Crue live in their heyday. I saw them in at the Omni in ATL in either '86 or '87 -and it was flat out insane. Sex, drugs, and rock & roll - sex in the aisles, drugs everywhere, and r&r blasting from the stage. I was 14 and unprepared.

If you haven't seen their Netflix movie, "The Dirt" it's a must watch for any of you 80's metal heads. WARNING: The first 5-10 minutes is extremely graphic.

Here's the trailer. It's damn good. Machine Gun Kelly is awesome as Tommy Lee.

    Why is one over rated?

Both were great front men for great bands. They kicked ass in the day.

Motley Crue was outstanding and actually held up longer than GNR because Axl was psychotic. GNR however did produce probably the best album of the 1980's.

Admittedly, I was never a Crue fan, but everything else you said is 100% fact.

The fact that the members of GNR thought Scott Weiland was less-crazy than Axl says a whole lot about Axl.

It's top 5 no doubt and probably in the top 1-3 but AC/DC's Back in Black is right up there with AfD.

    Hell's Bells
    Shoot to Thrill
    Have a Drink On Me
    Back in Black
You Shook Me All Night Long
Rock 'n Roll ain't noise pollution

Another excellent album from the 80's. If I had to pick a top 5 for the 80's, it would be:

    1. AFD- GNR
    2. As Nasty As They Wanna Be- 2 Live Crew
    3. Purple Rain- Prince
    4. Back in Black- AC/DC
    5. Kick- INXS

    Honorable Mention to :

    Straight Outa Compton
    Shout At The Devil
    Synchronicity
    Pyromania
    Licensed to Ill
    1984

Booed his ass off the stage at the Mississippi Coliseum in '86. Didn't know who the hell GNR was then, but they were horrible.
