I like what C-USA is doing with basketball scheduling

Teams are playing b2b nights against opponents. Play every 5 days or so but on b2b nights.

Would be an interesting, innovative change to college bball. Would be fun to see us play OM again tonight. What kind of effort, adjustments, and energy teams would show on the 2nd night.

Would be interesting but unfortunately TV contracts would likely not go for that

Why not play on say a Thursday and Saturday (or) say a Friday and Sunday and give the player?s legs a one day rest? Now, I understand it would cost more for them to have to stay one more night in a hotel but should be a better quality game for the 2nd game.

I don't know. It might be good for TV contracts. Let's say we started playing back to back basketball games on Friday and Saturday and Saturday and Sunday. For four teams, you have a friday night game, two saturday games, and one sunday game. Then you have games on Tuesday and Wednesday (probably can't do these back to back because of school, so it'd be a scheduling challenge to make the schedules balance if you did these as conference games, but also a challenge to find good opponents if you did them as OOC). So the SEC would get say 7 games to air over Tuesday and Wednesday and then three or four games to air Friday, 7 games to air saturday, and 3 or four games to air games to air sunday. That seems like a great deal for them.
