My second takeaway is that D. Johnson needs to change his number to 22 because he is a JJ Johnson clone. He won’t excel like JJ did because of the offense we run but it is like getting in a time machine back to 1998 watching his running style and looking at his body type. If Leach will use him correctly next year Johnson will get people out of that drop 8 by himself.

I like DJ a lot but he is a long, long way from being JJ. JJ maybe the toughest runner in MSU history. Loved watching him truck anyone in his way. That was MSU smashmouth at its best.

He is a true freshman. I’m more talking about his build and running style. Give him another couple years in the weight room and I think he is going to have an elite skill set.

I like Dillion Johnson more than I like Marks at this point personally. They'll be a really good duo for the next 2-3 years though.
