    Urban Meyer to Jacksonville?

Haven't seen it mentioned here, or lately at least, but looks like Uban Meyer is gettng his ducks in a row to take the HC job at the Jaguars.

Won’t matter, it’s a bad franchise. If he doesn’t win immediately he will suddenly have health problems.

Their first round draft picks have had a terrible track record. It's the epitome of how your franchise ends up one of the worst in the NFL:

2011 - Draft Gabbert as your QB of the future. He's traded 3 years later for a 6th round pick.
2012 - Draft Justin Blackmon. He's out of the league after 2 years due to a combo of injuries, failed drug tests, and off the field incidents
2013- Draft Luke Joeckel. You end up not picking up his 5th year option because he grades out as one of the worst tackles in the league. He's out of the league by 2017.
2014 - Draft Blake Bortles after Gabbert is traded. He has to start quickly. Ends up with a career 59% completion percentage and he's released 1 year into his big extension.
2015 - Draft Dante Fowler Jr. and he misses entire rookie season to injury. You end up not picking up his 5th year option and loss a lawsuit because you improperly fined him for not going to his medical rehabs. He's gone after 2018.
2016 - Draft Jalen Ramsey. He develops into one of the best CBs in the league. But after a few years he gets into an altercation with the head coach after a loss. He's traded 2 weeks later.
2017 - Draft Leonard Fournette - Often injured and doesn't play amazing for you. You announce your declining his 5th year option after year 3, can't find a trade partner, so you release him.
2018 - Draft Taven Bryan at DT. In 3 professional years he has 70 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Pretty much done nothing.
2019 - Draft Josh Allen from Kentucky. Great draft pick. Pro Bowler in year 1. But you have to place him on IR 3 weeks into the 2020 season.
2020 - Draft CJ Henderson and K'Lavon Chaisson. Henderson goes on IR in the middle of November and Chaisson has 19 tackles all season and 1 sack. Big time underperform.

That last decade of first round drafting is about as awful as it gets for a franchise. The only people left on the Jaguars from the first round over the last decade are their 2018-2020 draft picks. They better hope they can do better or they will waste Lawrence, who grades out as one of the best QB prospects to ever come out of college.

I knew their drafting was bad. But wow, that really puts it in perspective. Just terrible. For perspective, the Saints got Marshon Lattimore, Ryan Ramcyzk, Marcus Williams, Alex Anzalone, Alvin Kamara, and Trey Hendrickson all in the same draft. Drafting can make you or break you, and admittedly luck plays a part.
