Tom Herman out at Texas
I guess Urban finally said yes.

Rumors are Sark. I'm glad. Make Saban gamble on an other assistant, maybe one day he'll miss lol.
Billy Napier in shambles

Well Hopefully they get the Tuscalossa Sark and not the LA Sark. But being in Austin HMMMMM/

Sark would've been a good hire for us last year. Hope we don't regret going another direction.

Well...he would probably be heading to Texas still and we would be looking for a new coach so...

What evidence is there of that? Take away his year at Alabama this year and replace it with a year as a HC for us this year. How many games would he have won? I doubt Texas would've hired him one year in. Remember, his big year at Alabama wouldn't have happened.

Wow I know he was on the hot seat but went 7-3 and all his losses were by one score so it wasn’t like they were a disaster. They were really bad on defense but I still think Herman might be a pretty good coach.
And how much better can you expect Sark to be?

On the one hand it's only this year that Sarks OC resume has gotten him into consideration at Texas, so if he was at state that wouldn't have happened. On the other hand, had he gone say, 7-3 at State I think that would have raised more eyebrows than this year at Bama did and yeah Texas would probably still go for him
Question is, was 7-3 ever really in the cards? JoMo left a looooot of culture issues any coach would have to fix, though a Shrader led running attack would have done better for us this year

I like Sark, but I don't see how this is an upgrade. Herman was 32-18 in 4 seasons, 4 bowl wins. Texas has to quit believing that it's 1975 and they dominate the SWC. They keep firing guys after 3-4 seasons and they will never get better.

Glad this move was made after Sawyer signed. Sark's offense is probably more appealing to Sawyer than herman's

Dominating and averaging 8-4 at UT is two vastly different scenarios. Granted they should stick with a coach longer than 3-4 years, but 8 wins/yr, at Texas, is pretty pathetic.

I honestly think Kiffin is a better fit at UT than Sark. They are more like TSUN, and get off on all that attitude.
-
Sark the candidate over Napier. Bert will not be a happy camper.

As a recovering alcoholic, he may not want the pressure of a HC job at a big time program
