I think he's the top interior lineman in AL. There are 2 OT ranked in front of Thomas in Alabama and yes, Quick is one of them.

He's #18 overall in Alabama which means he's a very solid prospect.

Any reason our 4-star recruits all got dropped to 3 star. I swear I was on 247 a few days ago and thought we had 3 4-star kids. Checked today and they are all 3-star. Seemed odd but maybe I misremember. Stars don't matter for this offense (or defense for that matter) so much as fit for the scheme but I just found it odd.

Yes, they asked those guys who they were thinking about committing to and when they said Mississippi State they dropped em a star.

That happens to players that commit to us, they all go down in ranking, no matter what they do their senior season.

It's because the ESPN rankings were released and that killed their 24/7 composite rankings.

24/7 needs to do away with the composite rankings since they're the only relevant recruiting web site out there now.

Thought about that the other day. It was a really cool and smart tool when they started it. It gave them some credibility as a new company. Now, it doesn’t make sense to use it. I’m okay with Rivals rankings, but the issue with them is they don’t have a Rivals guy for every team so some schools aren’t represented in recruiting rankings like they should be.

The way they have it set up, you see a kids composite ranking first and then if you go to their profile, you can see their 247 ranking. They need to reverse that.

247 had all of our cruits as 3*s....all 3 services now have them ranked about the same. Before it's over I believe 2-3 of out players will get bumped up and we should be adding some players who are higher ranked before summer is over.
