Something to keep an eye on.

Not tropical related this time, but we are looking to see a pattern change next week from our recent slate of tranquil fall weather. The first one looks to be Wednesday evening/night before Thanksgiving. Currently, all three major models are showing a storm system moving through during this time. The usually reliable euro shows an overnight system with some teeth to it with a potential severe threat. The gfs and Canadian show an early evening system with much less intensity. Just something to watch but with so many people traveling that day I wanted to make mention of it.

The second system will be the weekend after Thanksgiving...again...when a lot of people will be traveling. It's just simply too far out to make any kind of semi-educated guess on, but Jackson NWS mentioned it in their forecast discussion when it's technically still 3 days outside of its range and that usually means it has their attention.

Right now don't cancel or change any plans. Both of these might well blow through like a fart in the wind, but since they're both possibly impacting major travel periods I wanted to at least give a heads up, just in case at least one of them eats it's Wheaties and lets it's balls drop.

Oh yeah, Thanksgiving week severe weather - reminds me of 2001 when a tornado ripped through Madison, MS and killed a bunch of people. Hopefully not this year!

Yeah- night of the Egg Bowl where we beat Eli. Happened really early in the morning like 3-4 AM if I remember correctly.

A few updates to this. The system for Wednesday still looks to be on the way with some model disagreement on strength. The biggest question is how much instability the system will have to work with. Some of the models are showing just enough juice for a marginal to possible slight risk for Wednesday. One thing of note is they have also sped up timing and storms may affect the MS area during the day Wednesday which would also take advantage of peak daytime heating. Right now this is far from looking like a big time event but when you're traveling even a low end event can be a pain. The system for the following Saturday is still there but strength is even more uncertain than before.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to see what pain killers I can scrape up for this 17ing gout attack.

2g per day of vitimin C will help! I know from experience - ouch, I don't wish that on anybody! Increased vitamin levels help reduce Uric acid - the culprit!
