So where does Hugh end up?

    1. Fla State/ Well do they have enough to buyout their coach? Hugh knows the recruiting down there. He can own Mullen again and he is on 1st name basis with every escort in the state. FSU might get a discount from Hugh on the last item.

    2. Michigan. They can afford to buyout Harbaugh and still pay Hugh.

    3. Texas. see number 2.

4 Oklahoma. If Lincoln leaves for the NFL this might be the best fit for Hugh. The players are in place. They don't play defense in the Big 12. They are known to "look the other way" when it comes to recruiting and he can always ship in the Florida babes.

If I'm him I stay at Liberty. Tons of money and he will be a legend there. I'm not sure how well his Super Christian schtick is going to play at other places plus he has a NCAA history.

So I think he's kind of in a niche market because I can't see Oklahoma taking a chance on him much less Michigan. He's basically black balled from the SEC. So to me that means his options are going to be places like North Carolina at best going forward. At least until Sankey leaves.

Full disclosure had a few drinks but it would be interesting to see him at Penn State or Vandy.

I'll add- he has Jackson Prep principle going on there too.

No conference commissioner to deal with.

He can schedule 2-3 SEC/ACC teams a year and focus on beating them and then fill out the rest of the schedule with 8-9 Sun Belt/C-USA teams and a FCS team. Also has BYU that he can schedule too. That's an easy recipe for 8-9 wins a year especially with Liberty's resources. Now that he's starting to beat people like Virginia Tech he'll be able to start attracting some four stars I think.

He just sign an extension last week. Probably stays there this year unless a wealthy school covers two buyouts. Covid is slowing the coaching carousel a little.

As a miss state fan, I don't want freeze back in the sec. As a college football fan, I want freeze at auburn or Tennessee.

Both would be perfect fits. Especially AU. They would be Top 5 in recruiting every year.

If three years down the road we're looking for a coach (i hope we don't have to) I'd take Freeze in a heartbeat. Heck I remember saying in a thread while we were looking for a coach we should look at Freeze.

Are you serious? You would throw all semblance of ethics and morality out the window to hire Freeze just so we could potentially win FB games? Is this what the world has come to ... win at any expense? Oh my, I hope you don't run your personal life that way!

It's football. We wouldn't be hiring for a chaplain. Besides if you think Bama and Clemson (just to name a few) don't cheat then you're very naive. Also if you think Freeze was the only coach, current, past, or future that used women to lure recruits again you'd be wrong. Freeze is a great coach minus the baggage. The only reason he was blackballed is because he was caught (beating Bama nearly 3 years in a row at Ole Miss didn't help his case). If he cut out the escort business I'd love to have him here.

Lastly, touching on another point I made. All the big boys cheat. You're not going to win in college football by playing the morality card. Look at 2010 for a great example.

If OM wouldn't hire him back then why should we even consider it? Why stop there - why not Petrino, Hud, or Briles .... I know, Let's bring Bobby Collins out of retirement**
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

All of those coaches with the exception of Briles (although he is coaching HS if you count that) went on to coach at other college programs. Hud retired after giving Austin Peay their best season ever. Petrino did well outside of his last year at Louisville. Freeze is putting together the best season Liberty has ever had.

Might be sooner.... things are coming unraveled. We will be lucky to play another this year. And we owe it all to Cohn and Leach. Things are going very very badly.

Moorhead is just as much at fault.
