    Worse Offense in my lifetime.

I can?t even think if there is any offense that I have watched at MSU that is even close to being this bad!

It?s worse every week, I said in another post Vandy is everybody?s Homecoming game but it?s Miss State!

No Rainbow in sight cause 2020 has brought misery.

Croom couldn't pass the ball, but at least we could run it at times. This is embarrassing.

You must be under 12 years old......

See, there was this game back on September 14th where the Mississippi State offense managed a whopping 129 yards of total offense, and the team they did that to was ranked the number 9 team in the country at the time.

Yes, this offense is bad but just like I’ve said the last two years under Moorhead, there has certainly been worse.

You are wrong. There hasn't been worse. This is the worst 4 game stretch in history. Especially when you account for the rules of the game today and the modernation of offenses.

Should be noted every game we play this year is an SEC game. Outside of one year under Mullen the last time we had a winning record in conference play you'd have to go back 21 years ago to 1999. Most of our winning years have been thanks to Cupcakes and weak OOC games. Btw take a look at Croom's last year and if you crunch the numbers we barely managed 200 yards of total offense in SEC play and don't forget the whopping 24 yards of total offense we put up vs OM that year. Our offense certainly isn't the worst ever.

Lots of rot to cut out left to us by Sloppy Joe.

Next year, with a spring, we will be much better.

It is awful. It's as bad a 4 game stretch as I remember.

I think Shrader would make our offense immediately better. I wish we had at least seen the Leach approach with a mobile QB. I understand Shrader isnt an elite thrower. But he completed 60 percent of his passes as a true freshman. And the passes we are currently attempting are curls and underneath routes.

Rodgers should start next week but I also am curious if KJ will even be available. Do we even have a backup QB if KJ in not available? That said, I do feel the offense moves better with Rodgers. And I also feel he gives the receivers a chance to make plays. They need to make them.

I kind of doubt Costello will be available next weekend.

I don't want to see anyone get hurt, but Costello being out will help because Rodgers will get all the reps this week. And Leach can't do a damn thing about it. The back-ups will be Justin Stolberg and Alan Walters- two walk-ons.

Auburn game was contested the whole game. Let's look at 1st half stats since tonight was over at the half...

    Auburn 2008: 26 plays, 50 yds (1.92 per play)

Tonight: 22 plays, 41 yds (1.86 per play)

These 2 offensive games were very similar.

Never once did I say the game was competitive.

The OP said this is the worst offense they’ve ever seen. That simply isn’t true. Yes, it’s very bad, VERY bad.

You can't compare where offense in football is now with where it was 10+ years ago. Offensive numbers are way up across the board, so that has to be taken into account.

Comparative to where offense is in today's game, it's certainly up there with the worst we've ever had. Whether or not it's the absolute worst is up for debate, but it is in the mix.

Worst I can remember, I been watching close for over 40 years. For folks trying to compare worst single games, it ain't about that. Try comparing a worse 4 game stretch? Our D has outscored our O over 3 games and they only scored 9. Let that sink in. We've scored 21 O points in 4 games. Except for Bama, these were not top 25 Ds either.

You're not seeing the picture here. We have a 10 game SEC schedule. Look at '08 and compare only the SEC games that year to how we've done so far this year. Now imagine Croom played a full SEC schedule and that was his 5th year...

Not saying Croom was great but that was 08 as the wheels had come completely off. Croom was stubborn too and would not adapt. McCorvey was his OC and they run the WCO if it works or not. Sound familiar? SEC Ds figured out the air raid in one game? Think about that for a minute. It took one game to figure out. We have no plan B. It is just do what don't work better?

You know what definition of insanity is?

He looked really dazed after that hit last night, and was shaky walking off the field, so he probably won't be allowed to play against Vandy.
