    Early games thread

Georgia runs 12 times to score on first drive vs Kentucky... all runs, no passes. Mizzou ran all over Kentucky last week. This is a reason to really dislike our offense... we can't take advantage of a piss poor run defense, and it cost us what should've been a win.

I think KY also lost their run stuffing NT early last week and it was a pretty big loss for them on the DL

That certainly explains the gashing they've gotten lately on the ground. Thanks

There?s really no excuse for Georgia?s offense to be as thoroughly mediocre as it is all the time under Kirby

With the offense Kentucky runs, wonder why they didn't pursue key. Key seems like he would've been good in their offense.

Well Key lost the job at UVA, maybe he's just no that good and the Kentucky coaches saw that. But like then next poster says, Shrader would be great in this O. God I hope he goes out of conference, it would suck to lose to him

    Agreed

It's like going to war with only one weapon

5*s and 4*s at literally every position, their pick of grad transfers, plenty of time to get a system taught... yeah my guess is Kirby meddles in the O to have it be the "ball control" style to not mess with his D. Pruitt too. I don't know why defensive HC's so often insist on controlling the O, when offensive coaches love the idea of a stud DC taking it all off their hands so they don't have to think about it

As opposed to... 2 weapons? this analogy is weird since most soldiers only have 1 gun on them

If not being able to run = 1 weapon, then being able to run and pass = 2 weapons

I guess, but Virginia is 57/43 pass. Kentucky is 65/35 run, so I think key would be a much better fit at Kentucky. Also 35% of Kentucky's rushes were by QB entering game

Then expand the analogy... like going to war with only an Air Force, no army

Kirby does less with more, for sure. If Mullen is going to break the O'fer against him, this is the year to do it.

Or a graduate degree from UVA is better than one from UK...

Clemson down 28-10 with 31 seconds left in the 1st half. I realize Lawrence is out, but Clemson's defense can't play like this and expect the playoff committee to throw this game away. Wouldn't be right
