Auburn could easily be 1-4 or 0-5 right now.
Why on Earth would you want Gus right now when the only thing standing between him and 0-5 are gift calls from SEC?
What on Earth makes you think he could win with MSU's talent when he's on the hot seat every year at Auburn?
I've seen you guys want to hire about 7 different coaches over the past 2 week? You realize we can't do that right?

Malzahn averages about the #10 recruiting class. He may average #20 at State so the question is how successful would he be playing in the same division with lesser rated players. I say his record would be similar to Mullen's at State.
Plus, after nine years some of our fans still couldn't spell Mullen so I'd hate to see how bad they would struggle with Malzahn.
