    I don't see how the SEC Office could actually stop an SEC school from hiring Freeze, but they could highly recommend, if they wanted too, that a school doesn't hire him. If you are an SEC school, I doubt you want to not have the blessings of the SEC Office, and/or be on their bad list.

    Right now, I could argue that Greg Sankey is the most powerful man in not just college football, but all of college athletics. If all the stuff is true about Sankey not liking Freeze is true then any athletic dept. that hires him in the SEC is asking to be screwed at every juncture for the entirety of his employment. No amount of Sexton marketing and Hugh's second chance speeches would help that. I'd imagine Sankey feels that Hugh put a black mark on the conference with the scandal and he doesn't want to give him another chance to do it again. Also, the average football fan only knows about 5-10% of the stuff that was going on in Oxford during Freeze's tenure. And as plugged in as he is, HE KNOWS IT ALL.
