I have a feeling that will happen in Miss and I will get screwed on my seats. Hell it is still showing I have a 1200.00 pledge for my two upper deck seats.

If other states don't do it, (Especially Bama), SEC may not allow it.

I'm thinking not. Dobbs sounds like he's ready to shut down the state again because we have .017% of our population testing positive each day.

The SEC doesn't have that kind of power to tell governors what to do.

    That's not going to happen.

Doom and Gloom Dobbs is a funny nickname, but my god this guy never seems like he has anything positive to say. We could have 4 cases total and the only thing he'd harp on is how those 4 people weren't properly distancing or wearing masks. He wouldn't even mention whether they were symptomatic or not. It's like he honestly expects a virus with no known cure to just suddenly stop spreading and just decide to go home.

That's not a wise decision, whether the SEC goes along with it or not.

They've got the power to tell the schools.

They can flat tell their member institutions what to do.

Kay is being more cautious than most southern governors. It will not be Alabama.

This shit has gotten political. But keep in mind, here in Alabama we have the best doctors and hospitals in the south. She is getting good advice.

    It's just not time yet

Generally speaking, we here in Alabama (the Huntsville area at least) are doing really well with masking and other precautions. I went to Costco this afternoon and it was crowded, but not a single person was unmasked. Costco, and most other businesses and public places, are doing well, and the numbers show it.

That said, I played in a golf tournament yesterday at the Huntsville Country Club, and you'd think there was no pandemic at all. There were two to a cart, totally disregarding the governor's orders, and people, mostly young, were in the dining area closely packed and just having a good old time. I would have not played had I known there would be such total disregard of the mandate. As it was, the only time I went inside was a brief registration period, and was sharing a cart with one of my regular golf buddies who I know is being very careful.

I think it's just pros from what I heard. Not sure if that's been said or not.

So you shared a cart. But are criticizing others for doing the same.... ok gotcha. Makes sense. Maybe the others were only w their buddies too?

You were arguing wrongly that there would not be any football. You have no credibility. You keep getting it wrong.

The fact that stadiums aren’t full capacity already is a joke. As soon as one team in the conference allows it all others outside of Vandy and maybe Kentucky will follow.

I'm all for opening up, but this seems a bit soon.
