Perhaps most were, but it was still in violation of the state mandate. And they made no advance mention of the situation. Being a private club doesn't make it a safe environment.

And you went along with the violation of the state mandate, but are shaming those who did the same as you?

You can't be serious w/ this hypocrisy.

It also doesn't require that you join or be there either.

So... It was ok for you to break the mandate because you "know" your buddy is being careful. But, those other people are just too dumb to share the same privilege you do? So it should apply to everyone not named Rocket Dog? How are you going to complain about others not following a rule that you yourself didn't follow?

Did you have masks on in the golf cart? Were yall 6' apart?

I agree. It is too soon for 100k to be all in close proximity in the stands. One could argue for maybe 30-40% capacity where each person/group does their damnest to be as socially distanced as they can. Maybe 50% if everyone was wearing a mask the entire time. There is just too much risk with that many different people and that many different covid lifestyles.

Sure they do. Stankey told the whole state of MS what to do multiple times. Now they don't have the right but somehow we gave them the power.

50% could easily work, at least in our stadium. After being in our stadium Saturday, there's no reason 50% wouldn't be EASILY doable.

Agree, this should happen soon. Most of stadiums are sitting at 50% level now. Upper decks and corners are completely empty with people crunched down to around 50%. The election virus will lighten up or get worse depending on who wins.

Our student section was definitely more than 50% capacity on Saturday. It honestly looked pretty normal. I've been a big critic of the student attendance so I was frankly surprised and pretty impressed.

It will be back to 100% for the Egg Bowl. Got to give Lane the crowd.

But you violated the state mandate too, correct? You shared a cart. You said so.

Yeah, my daughter was there. She said they had monitors but after the game got going they could not keep students separated and contained. They all ended up down closer to the field. Had a great time except for the game. What a suck home opener with all this virus mess the students are having to deal with. I hated the loss mostly for the students. They deserve something good on campus this year. TAMU next.

It's not. The peak of this thing was 2 months ago in this area. Community immunity has developed in most areas. We aren't seeing an influx of positive cases from schools being open and the relaxed mask mandate. It's time to let people live their lives.

It's not going to happen, but I'm not sure Dobbs doesn't want it to. Not sure what our hospital capacity looks like right now, but we are averaging around 500 confirmed cases a day. (Hard to say exactly because they did a dump in the past seven days that included some old results but they don't tell us when they are from or what percentage of the days total they represent.)

Not sure who they is, but the member institutions collectively tell the sec office what to do. The sec office doesn't tell the institutions what to do. At most, the presidents would vote if a change to the current policy was at issue.

Speaking of current policy, and More to the point, sankey already has said attendance will be up to individual states.

I really wish we'd open it up to 40-50% for next week. If we can get by Knetucky this weekend, we could have a little extra juice in the stadium for A&M.

I don't expect an increase. In fact, was told today, Tator is about to start back with some mask mandates. Not sure it's statewide, but it's apparently coming back. Least that's the rumor.
