The article states "This week?s playoff picks, as always predicated on today being Selection Sunday"

So he isn't really predicting us to be in the playoffs at the end of the year. If the playoffs were selected today we would be one of those selected. And if we continue to win we will stay in his playoff 4. Unless someone leaps us with a very impressive win. Or If we lose. Then we drop out.

It's kind of like the playoff committee releasing their weekly polls in November.

We do have the most impressive win of anyone in the country, so I understand why

Last week he had Notre Dame and UCF in it

    Keep in mind y'all-

Leach's WTF games mostly stem from the fact that at TTU he had about the 50th ranked team talent wise and at WSU he had the 70th ranked team talent wise.

Right now, according to 24/7, he has the 23rd best team. Much lower chance of WTF when you're dealing with that kind of roster.

Except we are playing 8 teams ranked higher than that.

Im interested to see if Leach can keep them grounded and focused.
In regard to this, his talk to the team after the win was GREAT!!!.....it emphasized the reason they won was in the week BEFORE the game in PRACTICE!!!!.....My admiration for the WAY this guy coaches is balloning.....GO DOGS!!!!!!

It is funny the polarization from the pundits. Some write it off as LSU being down, and then the other side hails State as a top 8 contender. I feel the truth is in the middle. I say we go 7-3, which with this schedule and preseason expectations would be HUGE.

Well, I see a offense that has confidence to pick up a 3rd and 15. I see an offense that can score from anywhere on the field. I see an O that will take what a zone gives and can move methodically with no stopping.

I see a young defense playing with a chip on their shoulder, playing as a team, holding LSU to 80 yards rushing, getting sacks, and playing aggressive MSU defense. I see the secondary that most doubted challenging LSU receivers for every ball.

Hog game will show if what we saw with the D was a fluke or whether they take another step.

I'm excited about MSU Football .. now! And, it's been 3 1/2 years since I been able to type that!

Right. After one game, it's a bit premature.
