What MSU football players have a chance at getting into the Pro Football HOF?

I'm pretty sure that Fletcher Cox is a lock.

After a few years- maybe Dak?

Chris Jones and Simmons are both really young but have a chance to be All-Pro type players for the next few years.

I think Slay has to do more work and get into some more Pro Bowls to get in. If he gets two more Pro Bowl invites that would give him the same amount as Jimmy Johnson (the former CB not the coach) and Ty Law who are both HOFers.

I could see Abrams and Sweat possibly improving enough to be Pro Bowlers- especially Abrams.

Elgton Jenkins has been getting a lot of respect and I could see him developing into a Pro Bowler. I think Kent Hull should be in. He was the best center in the game for about a five year span. The Veteran's committee will have to put him in.

Joe Fortunato was a great linebacker in the 60's and probably deserves to be put in. He was a 5 time Pro Bowler and of course the veteran's committee would have to put him in as well.

I remember when I was a fan in high school and our greatest player was probably Jackie Parker who played in Canada and Kent Hull was the only NFL regular starter in the NFL. Times have changed!

    Cox is a lock

Chris Jones just has to maintain his current level for about 4 more years. Another Super Bowl could lock it up

Dak is well on his way. His career numbers are going to be off the charts & HOF worthy at his current pace regardless of whether or not he wins a SB

Simmons & Abrams certainly has the ability but it's too early to tell.

Slay keeps playing on garbage teams and that hurts him

According to this chart, Dak is about 1/4 of the way to being a sure fire HOFer. All though I think Big Ben is an easy HOFer & he's below 100

How is Kent Hull not in the HOF? He was pretty much the best at his position for an 8 to 10 year stretch helping the Bills to 4 SBs. Can't believe he isn't in.

Dak wouldn't get in without a SB win. Not saying it's right, but just the way it is.

I think playing in the USFL and Bruce Matthews moving from guard to center hurt him as far as Pro Bowls go. He does have Peter King on his side and that's a good thing if you are a borderline HOF guy. Also the Bills not winning a Super Bowl hurts. He is in the Bills Ring of Honor though.

Chris Jones to me is the obvious choice. Even over Cox. He's a sack machine and he's going to get noticed for being the main defensive cog on a wildly successful football team. He's got the chance to get into the Top 50 in sacks for a career and win multiple Super Bowls. He's got 6-8 more prime years left too.

If the Bills had won ONE of those Super Bowls he would be there. He should be anyway.

You can't be above Cox because Cox is already an HOFer if career ended today

Is Hull not in? He should be. I played golf a few years ago in Stallworth celebrity charity golf tourney and played with Andre Reid for 18 holes. He said Hull was best OL to ever play the game. He went on and on about Hull.

I asked him about Moulds and he said good things but I think he was threatened by Moulds as a young guy coming up behind him. Moulds was a tremendous talent.

He would not get in if his career ended today. In his Hall of Fame ranking, he's still got a ways to go. Only 2 people ranked below him are in the Hall of Fame. And there's a big gap between him and that rarified air of DTs.

He's got more work to do. Fletcher needs probably 3 more solid years to lock it up. Aaron Donald would be a Hall of Famer if his career ended today. Fletcher is really really good. But he's got a little more work to do to solidify HOF.

I think Chris has a legit shot though. He needs a decent number of All Pros and some dominant years. He's got to be an All Pro a couple times to do that and he's got the talent. Hope he gets there.

If Cox retired today his credentials would be the same as Richard Dent who is in the HOF in a much shorter career. Another couple of Pro Bowls would make him a slam dunk. That would be about as many as Warren Sapp, Chris Doleman, and John Randle.

Fletcher Cox is a lock today. And Aaron Donald would not be today. It's based on having length to your career as well.

I'm sure this will descend into an I hate Fletcher argument, but I would like to know what statistical measures you are using to say that Cox is a HOF lock while Aaron Donald is not. Donald has been in the league 2 fewer years and has been the dominant DT in the league since that time.

Like I said, I think Cox is great. Couple more years and he's locked it up. But Aaron Donald statistically is pretty much better in every legitimate metric and has the hardware to go along with it I'm 2 fewer years.

I'll say it again. Love Fletcher. He's phenomenal. But I think it would be a little homerish to say Fletcher is absolutely a Hall of Famer while Aaron Donald would not be a Hall of Famer after being the most dominant DT in football for the first 6 years of his career during the time Fletcher was in his prime.

Fletcher has one big thing that Donald doesn't. Superbowls mean a lot.

KJ Wright already has a SB on his resume and has done very well but not sure if it's been flashy enough to capture enough HOF attention
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

I guess so. I noticed last night the announcer mentioned Wagner, then immediately said that KJ is often overlooked despite having been next to him for all of these years.
