Ass kicking is questionable, Rams were terrible in the red zone in the first half and only had one scoring drive in the 2nd. They just played ball control and got away with it because the Cowboys offense bumbled around and only got one FG themselves in the 2nd half. Cowboys run defense was abysmal though for most of the game.

Dak is a good, not great QB & the Cowboys will struggle to defeat teams with a good pass rush with him at QB because he can't move. When I watch Maholmes, Brees, Kyler, Rodgers, Wilson, Deshaun, etc they are so much quicker & more nimble with their feet, which leads to better pocket movement & ability to avoid the rush.

While Dak's numbers are great, they offense become very limited against good pass rushes because he can't get out of the way and create big plays out of the pocket

They also do him zero favors by not including more creative packages for him...or just moving the pocket, letting him move out of it, in general. Their offense is just so bland. I didn't see a single bootleg last night. I counted a couple of screens, but I'm pretty sure those were just check downs, and not actually called plays.

    i agree with this.

The difference in offensive creativity last night between McVay and Moore was night & day

    Very true.

Thats the thing, Dak has been putting up great numbers IN SPITE of his shitty play calling since joining the league....imagine what he would do with a McVay, Payton, or Reid?

Dak definitely puts in the work. Imagine if he had a decent offensive coach to learn from. Lamar Jackson is a MVP candidate but would bomb in this offense because they have no clue how to play to strengths.

Sometimes I really don't like the playcalling. Dak gets in a groove and then they decide to run it three times in a row to kill the drive or two times in a row and put him in a thrid a long. It happened at least 2 or 3 times when Dak was on fire. Killed the drive and momentum.

Oh for sure. The drive to start the 3rd quarter is exhibit A to this point. I think They got 1 fist down, but ran it like all but 1 play.

Exactly / kellen Moore needs to go - he has never played or coached big boy football and he doesn't know how to build momentum and keep it going. They would be better off in 2 minute drill the entire game.

He's the new Clappy Clown- Jerry's boy. He shouldn't even be a QB coach.

The biggest problem I noticed was receivers not getting to the first down marker. Why are they running 3 yard routes when they need 4 or 5 yard routes when they need 6? Just completely mind blowing stupidity all night from an unprepared team.

Exactly, they just refuse to ever let Dak have any design runs. Guess they are afraid he will break or something. Dak is not a great scrambler but he is a dang good runner with the ball in his hands and the Cowboys don't even let him do enough of that for defenses to respect it.
