    Were you around for 1999?

Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss just off the top of my head- and Kentucky as well.

I can definitely buy Arkansas 1998 as well.

We also won a key game in 1994 over a good South Carolina team on the road where Taite hit Chris Jones for a TD in the closing second of the game. That was a pretty big win that helped get us into the Peach Bowl that year. Wasn't on TV so it's largely forgotten.

Most of our big wins over Dan were like LSU and Auburn 2014 or Georgia 2010 where we had the lead most of the game and just controlled it rather than some miracle at the end.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

what year was the Field goal against a hurricane force wind where the ball blew back over the kickers head ... It was either against OM or Arkansas

The Cal-Standford band on field kick off return would have to be up there.

LSU has a championship b/c UK tipped a hailmary instead of batting it down (I think that was the year?). May have been the year LSU somehow won a championship with two losses.

ETA: I was way off. 2002 when LSU went 8-5 (5-3) in Saban's 3rd season.

Billy Canon's run against Ole Miss is better than that Auburn play.

If UF had won, I think Bama would have been SEC champ at 6-1; and UGA, MSU, and UF would have finished in a tie for second at 5-1. Odd schedule note - Bama and Ole Miss both played 7 SEC games in 1980 and 1981. Any of you older guys remember why?
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Was there somebody that had to forfeit that year because of sanctions or ineligible players or something? I think back in the day, forfeited wins dropped off of the opponents record also, and when they switched to "vacating" wins, the losing team was still stuck with the loss on the schedule. Is it possible that everybody played 7 games but there was an east team that forfeited to make it look like a lot of people only played 6 by record?

ETA: Looked at the schedule and that's not it. I'm guessing maybe somebody used a non-SEC slot to schedule an extra SEC game and it wasn't officially a conference game, and people compiling records have just over time stopped notating which one was official?

ETA2: With it being Bama and Ole MIss with 7 games in 1980 and 1981, I'm thinking maybe they weren't scheduled to play each other by the conference for some reason so they added each other as "nonconference" games?

The Michigan-Michigan State punt-fumble is probably the most improbable to me. Absolutely unbelievable. And if I remember correctly, the guy who scored the touchdown broke his hip in the celebration and never was able to play regularly again.

Please don't bring up the Lindsay Scott TD. That one play cost MSU the Sugar Bowl in 1980.

ETA: Just saw this had already been brought up but its still sickening.

Arky 4th and impossible half field throw back first down and then score against om has to be up in the top 10. That and Arky?s overtime win against Eli. Also the Willie Blade x point block and run back agaist A&M or Bo Wallace fumble into the end zone was strong stuff. as far as ref big play the “Dick Pace reverse interference” call was the most sickening thing I’ve ever seen, and yes I saw the wind kick.

    Nope. We would have gone.

Ole Miss games vs bama didn't count as an sec game.

    Johnny Vaught is why.

Man, great reference. I had forgotten about that ending. I saw it happen live and was amazed. Yep. Good one to consider for best ever.
