Heck yeah. Now in the future ALL the top players will want to play for any SEC school.

I hope someone tracks the health of all the players in conferences who AREN'T playing so that we can see if they were really safer compared to players in conferences that DO play.

Assuming that anyone plays at all.

Again, I'm hoping it happens so I'm all for figuring this out and kicking off. The TV ratings would be through the roof and if I'm Sankey, Bob Bowlsby, and John Swofford then I'm probably on a conference call with CBS, ESPN, and Fox right now deciding how we could make this work.
Wouldn't be many transfers this late in the game, most teams have pretty full rosters.

Trevor Lawrence said it best last night. The players are safer being on campus and playing football than left to their own devices(and he wasn't just talking about getting covid).

This is his exact quote" People are just as much, if not more risk, if we don't play. Players will be sent home to their own communities where social distancing is highly unlikely and medical care and expenses will placed on the families if they were to contract covid19" "Not to mention players coming from situations that are not good for them/their future and having to go back to that. Football is a safe haven for so many people. We are more likely to get the virus in everyday life than playing football. Having a season also incentivizes players being safe and taking all the right precatuions to try to avoid contracting covid because the season/teammates safety is on the line. Without the season, as we've already seen. people will not social distance or wear masks and take the proper precautions".

    He's not wrong.

He is not wrong. But the only difference is what are people being made to do versus what they choose to do? Most people can be as safe as they want to be outside of work situations, and should be as safe as they can even with slight sacrifice being made. Even then, they can take matters into their hands to minimize their exposure. Student athletes, in some regards, do not have this ability. I fully agree that most people get into just as many covid situations through doing random things when they do not have official things to do. Usually not face to face, sweat and spit, direct physical contact with other players.

The ones that don't want to play can opt out without losing eligbility. The ones that want to play can. They can choose for themselves.

Sounds like it's gonna come down to the Big 12. Seems like the ACC and SEC are ready to roll.

I would think the NCAA/SEC would allow additional scholarships if there's a glut of transfers coming in, but even if they don't, I'm sure we can make room for a clear upgrade at a position of need.
