    Luke Altmyer

    Out of curiosity since I don't follow recruiting all that hard. Did we recruit him very hard? Or was he just an FSU lock from the get go. Caught some of his tape and the kid looks pretty talented. Figured with his dad being in the area and running a clinic that a lot of our players use it would be an easy in.

    Did Leach just like the Texas kid more or did Altmyer not have much interest in us?

    Sawyer Robertson is way more talented. It's not really close when you watch the film. That being said, we don't know how each processes information & that will decide more than anything. Leach is excellent at choosing QBs & he's been on Robertson for a long time. That's nothing against Luke, but Leach obviously has more comfort with Robertson

    Oh no, I completely trust Leach and I'm an idiot when it comes to football recruiting. Was just curious as I hadn't really seen him mentioned at all on the board or anything. Didn't really know Luke was as highly thought of as he apparently is. Was just curious as to if we had recruited him at all or not.

    Looks like he will be going into a pretty good situation at FSU as well. Not nearly the competition he would have had here.

    I think Moorhead liked him, but once Leach came Robertson was the guy. You just aren't going to sign 2 4 star QBs

    Moorhead wasn't after him hard either. He was probably headed to Memphis had coach not moved to FSU.

    Not to be mean to the kid, but if neither leach and Moorhead wanted an instate kid maybe hes a bit overrated at 4*...
