The Montgomery Biscuits is the closest thing to Crackers in Alabama. Not sure if that's an offensive name or not - probably is, since everything else seems to be nowadays.
There was an Atlanta Crackers minor league baseball team for many, many years. There was also an Atlanta Black Crackers in the Negro Baseball League. Presumably the name had nothing to do with the supposed derogatory nickname for Caucasians.
