    Notes from Rosebowl's Boneyard

    - Started hearing rumors of JJ leaving on Monday
    - Believes Lovett situation is directly related to coaching change.
    - Has no bad feelings about Stewart Reese. Believes it directly related to getting closer to home.
    - Mississippi State is taking steps to protect the program. There will be an investigation by MSU into possible tampering by Ole Miss
    - Rumors about a party that our players were invited to (John Doe)
    - The SEC office has been notified about the situation & will be looking into the matter.
    - Doesn't know all the facts just yet
    - Ole Miss is in full blown desperation mode right now.
    - Eat at Bulldog Burger
    - People think Lane Kiffin is a good recruiter. He is not.
    - Ole Miss only has 3 commits & one is thinking about flipping to MSU. They are desperate
    - On Monday, MSU was made aware that Jones was in Oxford working out with Ole Miss players. That night MSU staffers contacted JJ & he said there was nothing to it & he wasn't going anywhere.
    - Eat at Bulldog Burger
    - Tampering can also involve boosters, not just coaches. Ole Miss can be put on probation for boosters being involved in tampering
    - Players can also be accomplices to tampering
    - Former coaches texting & contacting former players is tampering. level 2 violation
    - there a lot of people that can't help themselves. They brag to people about what they did
    - Eat at Bulldog Burger
    - Mississippi State & Ole Miss play the Egg Bowl everyday. We are always at war. Everyday an MSU employee wakes up they must know that there is an Ole Miss person that is looking to embarrass them. They MUST know that

So Jones lied to our coaches about working out in Oxford?

    Well bye.

Just reading the tea leaves here, I think the investigation will show that Jones had contact with Ole Miss boosters & Ole Miss will then back out of taking him as they can't afford to mess with more violations.

Then JJ will end up at Oregon or something like that.

IMO, that's the best case scenario for us as that will hopefully will prevent them from recruiting players off our roster again.

I just don't think JJ would be a take for LSU, Bama, UGA, etc. Maybe Florida, Auburn, or Tennessee.

What will be interesting is if the investigation asks for Terrell Buckley's phone records

Would be great if JoMo could do us one favor & just get both Jones & Lovett to Eugene.

We'd get two extra scholarships to get "Leach guys" & Ole Miss wouldn't benefit from our misfortune.

I think JJ & Lovett are SEC caliber players & talents, but I don't think either was a "Leach guy" in the way they did things & don't think Leach will win big at MSU until he as many Leach guys as possible.

Thus, opening up two schollies for him to acquire his type of player, may be OK in the long run.

Lovett just needs to go ahead and pick a school and let the NCAA rule him eligible immediately so our bet will come to an end.

You need a month break. Can't belive how bad you are melting but at the same time saying he wasn't good any ways.

    If Jones wanted to return...

Would you take him &, if your Leach, how do you handle that?

For me, he'd have to speak in front of the team at a meeting & plead his case to come back.

Then, I'd tell him to leave & the next day let the team vote on whether or not to take him back.

You simply can't just let him back on the team without some formal apology to his teammates & repercussions. Deserting your teammates is wrong & there must be consequences.

Frankly, from everything I've read about Leach, I don't think Leach would take him back. Just doesn't seem like his personality

Let the team vote. He quit on them so they should be the ones who decide if he can come back. If they're cool with it, so am I

I'm just not sure Leach works that way.

I could see Leach trying to make an example of someone & telling him to pound sand.

He knows he has to get the culture right & making an example of a good player, may be right up his ally.
