I don't think new coaches for us really understand totally until they get here and something like this happens and they see it for themselves. They're always like "Well, that Fordham/Holy Cross rivalry was pretty intense." NO. They just have no idea. I spent a short amount of time in Washington state in Seattle and while Washington/Wazzu is a rivalry and pretty intense, it's nothing like MSU/Ole Miss. I have no idea who Texas Tech's main rival is. New Mexico?**
So what sucks for us is a lot of times we'll have a bad coach like Moorhead or even an assistant like Hud will leave like he did after 2010 and while we have to change coaches to improve or assistants move on it often times hurts us in recruiting just because the new guy has to adjust for the Egg Bowl rivalry. And don't get me wrong- I'm not saying we should keep bad coaches to maintain recruiting. I actually believe the opposite. But it does hurt us some in the short term.
Good Post.

Yeah oxford definitely aint out of the running considering Jarrian as of last night was talking to some of our players about coming to om.

Oh no you're right that Oxford is where he wants to go. He will end up never playing football again and getting them put on probation again if he goes there though so in the end he won't be in Oxford no matter what he wants to do.

Aren?t they still on probation until December? So, wouldn?t something like this put you in ?repeat offender? status?

If they are proven to have done something wrong. It's not that simple in this case. JJ has more to do with this than they do. Just the way it is. I know some won't like to hear that.

A lot of our MSU people disagree.

Not saying some don't. BUt all of my info is coming from state people too....At least concerning the JJ part.

A sophomore starter that helped us win the egg bowl 6 months ago wants to transfer to Ole Miss. if you don?t have an issue with that then fine. Most people think that is horse shit.
He never actually entered the portal, that was just rumors. Our fans should probably wait until he actually does it and leaves. IMO

He has entered the portal. He would not be able to talk to Oregon on the phone had he not.

There is ample evidence that tampering occurred and there are witnesses saying he was offered payment. He’s not going to Ole Miss if we don’t want him to.

No... he is in the portal.

Some of yall take it past caring ha ha. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But there have definitely been fans that contact the kid directly with tweets at him and that definitely won't help the situation. Dawgcap's post has some merit to it whether you like it or not.
Again, don't take this as an attack or anything. It is always interesting and thought provoking when you post but lets not act like some of our fans don't take it a little to far and freak out before freaking out is needed(not that freaking out solves problems to begin with, it typically makes situations worse regardless of what the freaking out is over).
Just let the situation play out completely and then freak out if you must is what most are probably getting at. That way if our coaches actually do want him back the fans don't eff it up. And you can say fans don't play a role in what a kid is going to do but I would somewhat disagree with that sentiment.
Fans land and turn away a lot of recruits every year for every school.
As for the situation if I was the coach I probably wouldn't take him back regardless. He went a little too far for the mending to happen. If I did let him back he would go through hell until season got here.

The thing no one had mentioned is how ole Miss has yet to turn this violation in if it seems to be true, obvious, and well known. We seem to report all ours.
So either
one- ole Miss hasn't changed and kiffen is going to let them do whatever as long as he keeps his name clear
Two- it's not as open and shut as it seems
The fact that we supposedly reported the violation makes it seem like it's a little of both

When is the last time OM self-reported any violation about themselves that wasn't totally trivial? They always use the Clinton defense of deny, deny, deny.
