Thread: So our FCS football opponents are now schduled out to 2027

    So our FCS football opponents are now schduled out to 2027

    2021- Tennessee State
    2022- Northwestern State
    2023- Southeast Louisiana
    2024- Eastern Kentucky
    2025- Alcorn State
    2026- Tennessee Tech
    2027- Chattanooga

    A few things:

    1. I wish we would schedule the in state SWAC schools more over any of the above except for obviously Alcorn State. I know Mississippi Valley State is working on increasing their scholarships so that they can play FBS teams and count towards bowl eligibility. Although that said- Florida State played a HBCU that didn't qualify and the NCAA didn't even catch it. FSU went 6-6 that year so yes it would have mattered.

    2. Why are we scheduling these teams seven years out? I wish we would limit scheduling teams out to 3-4 years at a time especially our P5 team.

    3. Schedule The Citadel if we aren't going to play in state SWAC teams.

    4. Our schedule is now completely made out through 2021 and we have an opening in 2022. I would like for it to be UAB even though I have been told that they are asking for too much money from us.

    5. It's a shame that we didn't play Chattanooga while Dan was still coaching here.
