That?s sad that you actually think like that. It tells me you know very little about the majority of the people that make up the government. You really need to get out more.
I guess what I?m really trying to say is that not everybody that works for the government is a politician.

I?m not speaking for Jack but maybe I am. The problem is most don?t distrust government workers, we distrust the politicians and the majority of leaders who have been appointed by favor.
While there are decent leaders there are so many corrupted by money and power. I think our state auditor has shown those facts recently and I honestly don?t care what political group they represent. Just my uninformed thoughts I guess

I am 55 years old. I have voted in every election since 1984. I served in the Marine Corp went to war. I have been following politics since Ronald Reagan first ran against Jimmy Carter. I still follow it today. I have just learn by experience too know they are lying when they say thats rain falling on my back.

Extendedcab keeps saying this country was founded up Christian values.
This country's economy was founded upon the exportation of cotton and exploitation of free labor (and of course no taxation w/o representation). Women and POC were considered property and less than the white man. These were tenets of the society. Over half this country's life women haven't been allowed to vote. We just crossed the 100 year mark of that.
That stuff doesn't mesh with what the Bible is all about. So extendedcab is just hiding behind a veil of "muh christian values" while wanting to go back to the way things were. Despicable.
If you need further proof that the country was definitely not founded on Christian values... the first amendment flies completely opposite of the first commandment.
(And before you go into the argument that it was better than other places in the world at the time. Cool. The debate is about versus now. Now the country is closer to God's vision than it ever has been. Not saying much but slavery isn't a high bar to beat.)

Well, the CDC isn't the only source saying excess deaths are crazy high. It's just another one.
And measuring excess deaths is the best way of measuring the impact of a crisis right? We're not worried about who was actually tested, who said what about whose death certificate, etc. The only thing it tells us is how many people died. You can't really influence those numbers one way or another unless they're just lying about the number of dead bodies.

And in other news, they found 6 new cases in Wuhan so they're planning to test 11 million people over the next 10 days.
[tweet2]1260050233033179137[/tweet2]
By comparison, we've tested around 10 million total so far.

The Chinese built a skyscraper in like 17 days. If they want to do that many tests, I don't doubt their ability to do so.

Corrupt politicians are manageable. We've always had it and managed it to different degrees. What is going to be a bigger problem for the country is the politicized and corrupt bureaucrats. We've had that to to different degrees, but I'm not sure if it's ever been this bad, especially at the federal level.

More info coming out that this virus has been in the US as early as Nov -Jan. Also, more testing does equal the probability of more positive cases. I would pay more attention to hospitalization than positive cases. Just cause you have it doesn't mean it's a death sentence.
It's time to open this bitch up

I know there will be lots of ups and downs, but we hit a month low on hospitalizations and ICU in yesterday's report. Meaning Mississippi.

Can we get this guy banned? I have responded repeatedly to this guy in PMs but he still brings his off-topic posts to this thread!

Hospitalization is currently running at around 5% of the cases that I'm seeing. Vent use is about 1%. Death is about .5%. That's just the areas I see.

The trends across the world overall look encouraging to me. I wonder if weather is helping more than thought prior. My question is how do we get to the point where one person testing positive won't shut down an entire sports league? Hopefully no spikes the next month or so during the re-open will make that seem less scary.

Any modern country can build a sky scrapper in 17 days and it be safe. The issue is, it will be a rectangle building with no style just plain. It would like a Jim Walter home. Investors in the United States are not interested in that.

Probably too early to spike the ball just yet, but Georgia is looking good. If this continues, a lot of people are gonna owe kemp an apology
