    Yemiyah Morris

Miss. State's 6-6 juco transfer Yemiyah Morris played exceptionally well off the bench for Miss. State in the SEC Women's Basketball Tourney (3 games). Check out this stat line.....
    - 23 points
    - 19 rebounds
    - 10 blocks
    - 58 minutes of playing time
Also, she blocked 3 shots against South Carolina, and helped hold A. Boston to 4 points.

Morris is continuing to get better and better, she's starting to emerge as a force in the post for Miss. State. I knew she could do it. Again...10 blocked shots off the bench in the SEC Tourney. You can actually see that shot blocking/rim protector mentality starting to surface on the court.

Coach Schaefer is gaining more and more confidence in Morris. They've been coaching/training her up to be a force in the paint, and are starting to see a good bit of the anticipated feedback. Coach Johnnie Harris getting it done.

She's a more mobile Tierra McCowan that's not quite as dominant on the boards. Very good player though. I also like her competitiveness and fire. She went toe to toe with Boston (shut her down) and Herbert-Harrigan and wasn't afraid of either.

Been waiting for this all season, so glad she is finally showing what she can do. The adjustment from JC to SEC is tough, yet she is starting to believe in herself. Her teammates were stoked by her performance in the UK game, very cool to see.
With Cooks next season, the post game should be strong.
