Not a good play by 3B James there. He should have played the force to 3rd. Let them have an extra run there and eliminated the force. Good strong throw though.

And LBSU is not even a good offensive club. Pitching is their strong suit. I'm not even sure Koestler is a weekend rotation guy, much less a Friday night guy.

I think I would let Bednar or Sims start the midweek next wk and try to start getting him ready for a Fri role. I don?t think Keostler is gonna cut it on Friday nights. We have two really good freshman, get one or both ready...

The problem is we had 2 outs. LBSU had runners at 2nd and 3rd. And Koestler fell behind 2-0. Weak hitter on deck, I say put him on. Instead we groove a 2-0 fastball and the guy laces it for 2 runs. Next guy gets out. Play the percentages there. That was on the coaches.
