Is this a for real story? Like are there officials looking for him? I haven't seen a press release about it.

There's no official word besides some Facebook chatter, but the pieces fit.

He never got drafted or had a shot at the NFL I'm assuming. Maybe that had him depressed ? I hate what his family must be going thru if a bad thing happened to him.

Well Crap. At the end of the day, someone had no desire to continue living which is a miserable existence. So Sad.

Depression is a lot deeper than simply not making it in the NFL. Not making it might've triggered a depressive episode (but that was years ago too, though maybe it was something that came back periodically), the root of the depression and learning to live with it isn't that simple though. Depression is also linked to CTE/head trauma, which partially explains why former CFB and NFL players have a higher suicide rate than the general public.

If this is his body, whether he died by suicide, foul play, or an accident, it's really awful, and sending thoughts to his family and friends.

Depression is a diabolical beast, kinda like a neoplasm. It must be dealt with by force.
