I would loooove to know how much cash he skimmed off of them for them to even be ?in the game? though! You know there is a bear booster that coughed up at least $50k on this one and got NOTHING to show for it!

I'm always interested to know how much money boosters can stomach when throwing money at players they don't get.
I totally understand collecting $100K for a guy like AJ Brown & Treadwell when you get them, but does not getting a player that they pour money into deter them from paying other guys?

I don't think they're a blue blood anymore. The changes to NCAA football and the conference hurt them. They still have a lot of issues on that campus. They simply have a large fan base. So they get blue blood recruiting rankings bumps. They should've been around a top 10 team for years and haven't been. They'll have big years and down years. They'll never be AL or even FL or GA.

Agree. I also don't think Pruitt is THE GUY
I do think he's done a good job of developing discipline & getting the culture turned around to some degree, but who knows what 2020 will bring. I just don't think he has the offensive pedigree or players to build anything that can compete with the top SEC teams.
I think Tennessee could turn into a better version of what Kentucky currently is, but I don't think that will be good enough

They'll come back to earth. With no recruiting visits etc. recruiting hasn't really fired up yet. I'm betting they don't sign the class some think they will. Still be about normal for them though.

How good is the Leach offense with:
QB - Robertson
WR- Knox
WR - Coleman
WR - Nabors
WR - K Johnson
WR - Tulu
WR - Jacobi Moore
RB - Marks

Looks great, but we've got to have a good line to go with them.

That would be Leach's dream offense for skill guys.

It would be the most speed we've ever put on the field along with a QB that can drop bombs
Throw Da'Wain Lofton in there as well. He may be faster than of all of them

Holding out hope that we can sign all of those WR’s. Hopefully Nabers & Coleman both slip through the cracks from LSU. You get those 2 plus Knox, Johnson, and Moore/Lofton and you’ve completely revamped that position group and have turned it into a future big time strength.
Also, Lofton has game changing speed as well but he’s not as fast as Knox. Knox is one of the fastest recruits in the entire country & is THE fastest recruit in Texas. Ran a verified 4.42 at The Opening and ran a 10.40 100m as a sophomore in HS. Also throw in that he’s got a 36” vertical at 5’10” with his speed. Lofton probably ain’t too far behind him though. You add that kind of speed to the WR room & then mix in some outside WR alphas like Nabers/Coleman/Johnson/Moore and we’re well on our way to flipping the script on WR’s here.

I think by 2023 when these guys mature we could have a special season. Need to hit on wide receivers this year and get the front seven on defense guys next year while adding to the offensive line this year and next.

With Rivals ranking coming in, Sawyer Robertson has been raised to a 94 composite QB.
Honestly, watching the film & seeing what his ranking is, if Summer camps & combines had happened this Summer, he may be even higher
Highest, best QB we've ever recruited

And it's nice to have him in the boat early and helping recruit WRs like Knox and Nabors.

I asked you a few weeks back and you said it was too early for a prediction but any more clarity now to where you could give a good guesstimate of what you think this WR class could be? We need some serious overhauling at that position & recruits have to see little resistance to PT & a whole lot of opportunity in this offense. I'm anxious to see how Spurrier Jr & Nichol wind up FINISHING this class with everyone we're getting interest from currently.

MSU offered Ty Cooper from Louisville. It will only be a matter of time before he is in the boat.
