Need to pick up Timar Rogers from FL also. He's another severely underrated kid. Very solid looking LB.
Very excited to see how this class ultimately shakes out because there's really good early vibes most positions, just gotta figure out the OL/DL recruiting for this odd year in MS.
They go to the same high school.

This staff has been together digging up these guys for years. Wazzou had more Florida kids on the roster than MSU
Leach is on record in saying that you can get Florida kids to go anywhere.

Kind of makes sense
South Florida is such a cosmopolitan combination of New Yorkers, Cubans, Dominicans, etc that those kids just aren't afraid of living other places. They don't fear different types of people.

Anybody ever heard of this kid? He is from Magee and just decommitted from UCF. Being a WR, may be someone we can go after late if he is any good.

Right. We would have to miss on a few before we got to him I’m sure. If I’m USM I’m all over him.

Probably. Us and OM haven't really shown much interest.

Brevard seems to have been a weird recruitment. Seems to have started out as the #1-2 player in state but then not a lot of interest on our part and really haven't seen OM folks peeing all over themselves for him like they usually do. Is he just not as good as he was built up to be? And if so, why the early build up at all?

Probably because of his size, he got hyped up early. Every year there is always a guy who is a top 5 instate guy who slips into mid-three star range. Not saying that’s Brevard, but the early evaluations are usually off except for the can’t miss guys like a Cam Akers or Jeff Simmons.

Yeah Brevard is a good player, but he was just overhyped too early.
1. Deion Smith
2. Kanarius Johnson
3. Isaiah Brevard
4. Jacobi Moore
5. Antonio Harmon (should be a TE)

Solid list here. I really like Moore, too. I think he has the chance to be really good, but he probably needs at least two years of development physical and skill wise before he is ready.

Some of the Ole Miss recruiting hype is based on players that they think they will get. Typically if they don't think they are going to get someone they'll just spin it as "better targets" and that they "didn't really want them." And then about a year later they'll spend a bunch of time tampering to try to get our players that they allegedly didn't want to transfer to them in the offseason.

Les Miles will pull players from Louisiana. He's got that pipeline from his time there.
Keon's recruitment has been odd, because about a week ago, he was picking up crystal balls to Oklahoma. He's cousins with Ceedee Lamb, so it made sense. Then suddenly, he picked up a slew of CB's to Kansas just recently. Idk if OU dropped him or what. I know he wants to play basketball too, which makes this even weirder because I'm not sure he's good enough to earn a basketball scholarship to Kansas, but hey, maybe he is. I hate we won't get him because he's a freakish athlete with a high ceiling, but we have very solid backup plans.

He won't need a scholarship for basketball if football is covering his tuition. All he needs is willing coaches on both sides and the opportunity. Les used the basketball option to his advantage.
