S&C
I know guys always say this, but I think it may be true in this case. Per Tyler Williams, Coach Brown is kicking their asses with the workouts.

Well everyone will see how hard they are working game 1 next year. Can't fake the effort, it will find you out.
-
Good. It?ll be nice to see a hard nosed, disciplined, physical team again. Instead of the saggy, soft tit debacle that we witnessed last year.
-
Good. When I saw wash st gave up 29 fourth quarter points in two separate games last year i was kinda worried

You mean our LBing corp won't look like this this year?

I would think good routine, technique, and obtainable but demanding expectations are some things a good S&C coach does to properly train athletes. Hope the players are all in and experiencing something different and better right now.

People are going to be surprised at how much better we will be simply with improved S&C.

I hope this is true, but after last year I feel like any half-way decent S&C coach would feel like getting their ass kicked. I hope he is an elite coach, but we will have to wait till next season to find out.

Honestly I don't think you do. The number of former players coming out on twitter saying that they remember doing this or that they like this speaks volumes.
I think Leach and staff did their homework. I think they are using some of what they already know, but I have to think they reached out to some of our NFL guys and asked them about some specifics regarding what made them successful in college.
Cohen harped on work ethic and toughness too much during this process for this aspect of the program not to have been extremely well thought out.

I doubt Leach reached out that much to our former players. I've watched his teams on youTube going back to TT. They're in shape and will lay the lumber to you usually. I think Leach knows already how to build a tough team.

Went to see my son in Starkville today. He said he has a class with a few football players. They told him this offseason workout is way harder than last year's and it's not even close. He said they come in talking about being sore everyday and having to get up at 6 in the morning. I think we will see our toughness and strength regained next fall.
