Astros Scandal and the fall out
We had a thread on the sign stealing scandal when it first broke - and I was adamant that MLB would do nothing.
Welp, guess I was wrong about that.
Hinch gone. Cora gone. Now Beltran gone. Bregman and Altuve may get some time out too for wearing buzzers under their uniforms that the video guy would buzz to signal pitches.
Outside of the Black Sox and Pete Rose, I can't think of another instance of MLB really standing up and trying to really crack down on a major issue - they sure as hell didn't do with steroids (which had a far great impact on the game).
It is really interesting too because sign stealing has been a part of the game for forever - from Little League up. I've done it. I've had team mates do it. Hell, I've seen parents and coaches do it.
This will be interesting to watch, because I don't think its done yet.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

There is nothing wrong with players stealing signs on the field and signaling them... nothing at all.
That's not even in the same ballpark as cameras, electric buzzers, and outside help like is being done here.
My thing is..... how the hell did they think they would get away with it?! Players change teams all the time. Of course it's going to come out.
