About 95% sure I played football with his Dad. His dad was a helluva football player but he wouldn't have qualified to any D1 school. Dropped out of school after senior season. Maybe he emphasized grades to his son.

Spencer just announced his decommitment from Southern Miss on Twitter about 3 hours ago. So there's something happening there for sure

He's basically got an offer. It's just pending him qualifying. Everyone making a big deal out of it is silliness. And if you believe he's the best WR in MS, that offer list disagrees. He's simply a best available type in-state if he qualifies. I think he will and I think he's on the commit list when he does. Not sure what all the Starkville fans will complain about then.

I see him as a best available option since we need some more slot receivers since we're switching to the Air Raid. With Adams off the board then that makes him a little more of a priority.
