Tonight's Arkansas/Oregon State game
OSU ahead 2-0 middle of 2nd inning. Also kind of a sparse crowd -- was full last night. The one day delay may have gotten to some fans, and the extra expense is substantial.
Gonna be tough if Arkansas loses this one. They had it won last night. I understand ESPN put up a "Arkansas National Champions" graphic on their website.

Can't score with bases loaded and 1 out. Then asst. coach gets thrown out.
-
Arkansas seems to be slowly unraveling since the drop.
-
Agreed. Rutshman will be MVP.
-
Want OSU to win anyways so the more Arkansas coaching staff that gets thrown out the better

I find that acceptable. Well said.
-
Thought they said the guy who was tossed was a video editor or something of the sort. Is that a coaching position? They didn't seem to know at first who or what he was and must've had to do a bit of research.

Championship series...
Pre-drop = ark 7-3
Post-drop = osu 7-0

You can figure about $200-300 per day on the average. When you go up there, you have to be prepared and budget for what you're willing to see. I went out on a limb and bought game 1 and 2 Finals tickets figuring I could sell them back if we didn't make it. And that's exactly what happened. In fact I made a couple hundred bucks off my tickets surprisingly when I sold them back, but I was prepared to see our Dogs had they made the Finals. Less and less likely I'll ever make it back as I get older....unless we somehow do it within the next 3-5 years.

Is it me or did a lot of Arky fans not show up tonight?
-
Abel is freaking good, and dominating. I'd still pull him... he is a freshman, and pitched 3 times since Saturday. 7 ip Saturday vs us, pitched last night, and 8 ip tonight.
-
I'd give him the chance to finish it now, but I was ready to pull him last inning.
-
Abel has 232 pitches in the last 6 days in 3 appearances
-
Not debating at all. If one gets on I pull him but I'm giving him the chance to finish based on throwing strikes

Abel is so good. Lost respect for Casey though... I hate seeing kids' arms maxed out like that.

Very little stress on his arm and he'll be off for several months. Overall the numbers are a little high but with the circumstances I just described it's not a huge deal.
ETA: surprised you had any respect left for him after he allowed heimlich to remain on the team

Both cases show he is a win at all cost
ETA... I doubt seriously Abel isn't pitching somewhere this summer

Back when Stanley Bertman was winning all those natty's I had real issues with him overextending his pitchers. Nowadays, I say "let's do it too". Especially with a Freshman. Win that damn Natty and take next year off, young man...what are you, 19? Still very elastic.
