They should’ve been escorted off the court IMMEDIATELY.

I was getting out of the car and walking inside. Missed it. They better show a replay sometime.

It wasn’t bad luck. It was criminally negligent officiating. He was laying partly inbounds under the goal.

I've never understood why play isn't stopped immediately in basketball when a player goes to the floor with any injury. It's unsafe and can lead to even worse injuries, as we just saw. If they're worried about players faking injuries to get free timeouts, just take away timeouts after the first injury like football does.

Did not see it. If it was negligent, could nick sue the sec and the officiating crew?

The comments were that normally when the ball changes possession to the team with the injured player play is normally stopped. In this case when State regained possession there was a clear opportunity to score so that’s why play wasn’t stopped. Should play have been stopped, yes. I mean when the kid hit the floor he never got up and the refs never made a move toward him. Whoever said they should have been escorted off the floor is correct. All we ever hear is player safety and this was a blatant disregard for player safety.

Teams would use it to their advantage.

Which means the refs knew he was there and knew he was helpless. That is the definition of criminal negligence heck you are supposed to immediately stop play for any potential head injury no matter the situation.

Announcer said that he talked to two of the refs and they didn't stop the game because he was off the court. What a joke and lack of concern about an injured player.

Hope Nick is ok and can sue for "professional" negligence by the refs.
