Shea Patterson as of this point. Heard a clip today of Peter Burns on OOB. He made it sound like Shea lit it up last year for the three games we got to see him. Is he talented, I'm sure. But to date he has done nothing to deserve the hype he is getting IMHO. Now granted, now that I type this he will be Manziel 2.0 sophomore year

Is Jarrett Stidham going to be Jeremy Johnson 2.0?

My first thought on seeing this thread title was Stidham, or maybe Jacob Eason

    Eason was my 2nd pick.

Stafford was UGA's last good QB

I don't see how he could be worse, but he's gonna underperform

Aaron Murray is their career passing leader.

Not the frontrunner, but I'm going to put in a mention for Jalen Hurts. Yes, he was a true freshman last year and yes, his numbers were pretty good. But for last year's first team All-SEC and this year's pre-season All-SEC QB, he looked downright bad in the few situations throughout last year he was forced to throw. I think there was even talk that their true freshman this year stood a decent chance of winning the job from him.

I'm going Bentley from South Carolina.

That guy is ass. He doesn't get much hype but the fact that he gets any is ridiculous.

Shea is 1-2 as a starter. He beat a team that was .500 in conference last year and then lost two in a row to teams with losing records, and cost Ole Miss a bowl in the process. He's over rated as hell right now. That said, he's got great talent but given the turmoil at OM and the coaching changes, he's likely going to struggle as a soph.

As I recall, Patterson performed quite well in his first outing against A&M, only to struggle in the final two games against Vanderbilt (?) and MSU. My guess is, once teams had some film, they were able to adequately defense him due to his limited skill-set as a true freshman. With more experience under his belt, Patterson should evolve into a very good QB. His biggest hurdle is the train-wreck of a team he plays for.

Stidham is a stud with a hellacious run game to lean on.

Agree with Trunk- Tua is getting way too much pub. He's not taking the job from Bama's starting QB.
