Not often you see a football coach build his reputation at MSU and then totally lose it at Texas.

I mean he turned into a dumpster fire quick!!! Shows grass isn't always greener, expectations at Texas are far more than in Starkville. I haven't seen hardly any coaches get fired 2nd game in.... Mack sees the writing on the wall

This is a save my ass by Mack Brown move. Granted the defense sucks but I bet Mack has been told he better turn shit around this year or goodbye. Im sure there was a get rid of Manny talk after the game and Mack obliged instead of fighting it.

It appears ex-Michigan DC Greg Robinson is replacing him.

Now the question is how much change can be installed in 1 week?

The same Greg Robinson who's defense we dismantled in the Gator Bowl?

Rebel black bears must be salivating!

Doubt you see Greg robinsons defense this week. Probably a lot of base defense I would guess.

Manny was groomed way too much by the media. He never did do any good at Texas. It just goes to show how damn talented our defense was in 2010.

No, it goes to show how awesome Chris Wilson was as a Co DC. **

I think Manny made a calculated decision hoping to become the HC at Texas eventually and it didn't work out.

UT will fire Brown for losing to Ole Miss. UT will hire Saban the week Ole Miss plays Alabama.

Saban is locked down until he retires.

Mack is as good as gone. Thing is Applewhite, the OC, was another Coordinator brought in to that program too early in his career. He has been given a roster full of talent and produced squat like Manny. Oklahoma is going to route them. Johnny Football (who as offered a chance to be a DB by Mack), Jameis, and RG III highlights will burn into the T-Sips' brains.

Applewhite will join Manny somewhere in the sunbelt, legacy UT QB or not.

Miles will also be added to their wishlist. Their fan base is more than willing to spend money. Should be good entertainment.

FYI - Aggies have dubbed TSUN 'T-Sip Light' as they are viewed as pretentious assholes. Bama they refer to as the Gumps. We have not earned a nickname as of yet.

Or until he makes a run at the nfl again. I don't think he leaves alabama for another college and certainly not midseason

I don't think you have to worry about Saban trying the NFL again. His short stint was horrendous.
