He already goes by Canny. Just call him that.

As a player for the Yankees, that was his locker room name

It's Cannizzaro. It's already making the rounds with recruits.

Coach Canny. It's in his contract that he be introduced as Coach Canny on his hotdog commercials.

What do the LSU folk think about him leaving for a head coaching job?

This being Cohen's signature hire as an ad, and one that he will be judged on for years to come, He is smart enough to know that, and probably in his mind has hired who he thinks would be the best man for the job. I'm all in.

One thing Cohen got to do is hire his successor, something that Polk didn't get to do..

Guess you missed the `97 to `01 years under Pat McMahon .. Polk`s `hand-picked` successor. The one that stayed around for four years before running off to Florida.

The AD did take Polk's input and desire to install Raffo as the next HC .. and made the 'call' to hire Cohen as the HC. When does 'ANY' retiring coach actually get to 'pick' his successor twice?

Didn't really realize at the time what a trailblazer McMahon was. He opened the way to Florida not only for himself but also for our tennis coach, our defensive coordinator, our athletic director and more to come.

I'll call him Coach. As far as his name is concerned, whatever he prefers, but he's earned the title of Coach.
