After a rough few days at work, I'm keeping it quite simple - burgers and Elijah Craig.

Went out tonight to our local bar & grill after a hectic week of pushing paper around on my desk like a good local govt. bureaucrat. Did get to try Monkey Naught IPA - I would drink again. Two 👍🏼👍🏼

I carved out some nice eye of round elk medallion steaks, seared them in olive oil and butter, then served them on a bed of cheese grits with a red wine reduction sauce. It was beautiful and tasty...therefore no pics.

I did pick up a new bottle this weekend:

I haven't really messed around with all the Turkey products, but this one is good. More to follow when I compare it to my other 10 year olds.

Damn...I'm embarrassed to even post this. Looks awesome WeWillScrewItUp.

Just regular brats while the game is on the radio. Simple. Still hung over...still drinking. Loving that Northern Miss is burning the f* down.

I grilled brats earlier this week. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Spent the afternoon at my parents out by the marsh, swimming in their pool. Grilled a London Broil, that had marinated overnight in worchestershire sauce, Tabasco, olive oil, and some shallots. Then whipped up a mushroom cream sauce to top it. Paired it with grilled corn and steamed broccoli and a salad with feta cheese and balsamic vinegarette. Now sippin' an Evan and Coke.

Damn, that looks awesome BrunswickDawg. Thanks for the kind words, too, and thanks Beast.

Over on the drinking side, I picked up this cheap bottle of Puerto Rican Rum today. $8. I have some limes on hand, so when you have a bottle of rum and a lime....might as well shake up a daiquri. I did, as is required, taste some of this rum neat. I like it*...I didn't really get any off flavors that cheap rum normally has. But, I'll do more testing as time goes on.

*should be noted that I've been drinking before this 'test'

Looks great. I like your hugger.

Got mine from OMC himself (Old man Corky). Believe it or not, after nearly 20 years of patronage I got him to actually talk to me. That's a win.

Funny we both went with white can tall boys. 2 other guys at the cookout did the same. I got the maroon cat head huggie in the Junctiin on Gameday. They had a tent and were passing then out

Nice choice on the white can talk boys. I had more than my share last night. Had pulled pork, baked beans, and potato salad
